Porsche world mourns Sean Edwards
Total 911 and the rest of the worldwide Porsche racing community is today mourning the passing of British racing driver Sean Edwards.
Son of former Formula One driver Guy Edwards, 26-year-old Sean had enjoyed a tremendous racing career to date, with notable highlights including winning the FIA GT3 European Championship in 2006.
Edwards, the current championship leader of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, is reported to have been sitting in the passenger seat as an instructor during a private driving training on the Queensland Raceway, Australia, when the fatal accident occurred.
“Our thoughts are with his family and we want to express our deepest condolences to his relatives,” said Hartmut Kristen, Head of Motorsport at Porsche.
