Video: Porsche Club GB celebrates at annual Althorp gathering
Formed in 1961 by a band of Porsche 356 enthusiasts, the Porsche Club GB is the only Porsche enthusiasts’ club in the United Kingdom to be officially recognised by Porsche AG.
As such, for the Club’s annual national event (this year held at the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire), Porsche Cars GB brought along a stunning display of new and classic icons, including the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS.
There was also a celebration of Porsche’s newest racing hero, the 919 Hybrid, the car that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, giving Weissach its 17th overall triumph at the French classic.
Le Mans winners from Porsche’s past, Jürgen Barth and Richard Attwood were on hand to talk about their experiences with the thousands of visitors over the weekend event.
