Total 911 issue 146 now on sale

There’s only one Porsche anniversary we’ve been interested this year, and it’s not the 40 years of transaxle sports cars, even if much of the mainstream focus has been on this particular milestone.

Three decades ago the Sonderwunsch programme morphed into Porsche Exclusive and, ever since, this dedicated department at Zuffenhausen has catered to customers’ most extravagant whims, and created some pretty incredible bespoke 911s along the way.

To celebrate 30 years of Exclusive, Total 911 issue 146 – on sale now in stores and online – brings together the department’s first and last full builds in the shape of the 930 SE and the 997 Sport Classic, the latter taking centre stage on our latest cover.

Getting behind the wheel of the 997 Sport Classic for the first time since its launch in 2010, we wanted to find out if there was more to Porsche Exclusive’s most revered 911 than just its limited edition status.

Elsewhere, in the new issue, two of the most popular air-cooled Porsche 911s of all time, the 964 Carrera and its 993 successor go head-to-head in a definitive battle to find the better driver’s car.

There’s also a full 911 Targa buying guide, taking you through the options from 1967 right through to the latest 991.2 as well as an awesome 996 road trip through some of Spain’s finest scenery.

To read all of this and much, much more, pick up Total 911 issue 146 in store today. Alternatively, order your copy online for home delivery, or download straight to your digital device now.
