Nick Tandy to race factory Porsche at 2014 Le Mans

2014 24 Hours of Daytona winner, Nick Tandy is to drive for the Porsche Team Manthey squad in this year’s running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans it was announced during Porsche’s press conference at the 84th Geneva Motor Show.

The regular Total 911 columnist will drive in the legendary French race in one of two Porsche 911 RSRs entered by the factory Weissach outfit, alongside Marco Holzer, Patrick Pilet, Jörg Bergmeister, Frédéric Makowiecki, and regular United SportsCar Championship teammate, Richard Lietz.

Tandy, whose 2014 season will be spent racing a similar 991-type RSR in the Tudor USCC across the Atlantic in America, will also drive in the Silverstone round of the FIA World Endurance Championship as part of the manufacturer’s Le Mans preparation.

2011 24 Hours of Le Mans
Tandy’s last 24 Hours of Le Mans came in 2011 with Team Felbermar-Proton.
