35 years of the Ruf turbo in Total 911 now

It’s hard to comprehend, but Alois Ruf has been presiding over his famed Ruf turbo models for 35 glorious years. It’s only fitting, then, that he marked the occasion by adding another forced induction 911 to his prestigious lineup, beating Porsche themselves to the release of a turbocharged 991.

As a fitting tribute to 35 years of turbo greatness, we took the Ruf 991 – named the RT-35 – for a test drive among the German countryside with it’s elder statesman, the 1977 turbo 3.3.
