Video: Porsche 991 GT3 RS v 997.2 GT3 RS

In the latest issue of Total 911, we gathered each iteration of Porsche 997 GT3 RS as a benchmark for Weissach’s latest Rennsport: the 991 GT3 RS. The new car faced-off against the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 on track before we headed out onto the open road with the 991 and 997.2 GT3 RS.

It’s not very often that you get the keys to the latest and last 911 Rennsports so we couldn’t waste the opportunity, grabbing our GoPros and going for a countryside blast in the two 911 GT3 RSs.

The new Porsche 991 GT3 RS – described as “a technological marvel” in issue 136 – has a number of new tricks up its sleeve while the 997 GT3 RS 3.8 represents the end of the analogue Rennsport family, complete with manual gearbox and famous Mezger flat six.

With both thrilling the Total 911 team, you’ll just have to pick up a copy of the latest issue to read our verdict. However, join the debate in the comments as we want to know, which one would you choose: 991 or 997?
