The Editor’s 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show photo diary

Armed with just his iPhone, Total 911 Editor, Lee Sibley has been hunting around Porsche’s various stands at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt, getting a good look at the new turbocharged 991.2 Carrera and the jaw-dropping Mission E concept.

He’s compiled a gallery of his day so far, which has included going to extreme lengths to get up close and personal with Zuffenhausen’s stars of the show.

New 911 3D brake lights

The new ‘3D effect’ brake lights on the 2016 Porsche 911 look stunning, while the addition of Google Maps to the PCM sat-nav is welcome. However, it’s disappointing to see that the 991.2’s new engine is as shrouded as the previous generation.

Lee can categorically confirm that the new ‘Mode’ button on the Sport Chrono Package steering wheel is a joy to work and the whole Total 911 team is agreed that the Mission E is Porsche’s most beautiful concept since the Gruppe B car that previewed the 959.
