Rare Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster narrow body for auction
A rare, narrow-bodied Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster is to be auctioned at Paris’ Grand Palais as part of the Bonhams Paris Sale on 6 February 2014. The car, with an estimate of €100,000-150,000, is one of only 171 such examples.
However, what makes this car even more remarkable is its history, or lack thereof. Kept by just one owner in Sweden, this particular Carrera 3.2 Speedster has only covered 650km since its original sale at the Porsche Centre Stockholm in 1989.
“Rarely do we see low production, iconic sports cars with so few miles on the clock”, Bonhams’ Head of Motor Cars Europe, Phillip Kantor explains. It’s certainly a remarkable find, especially with the majority of the Carrera 3.2 Speedsters using the 930 Turbo body.
