Poll: Who has been 2016’s most impressive Porsche 911 racer?

As we head into October, the 2016 racing season is beginning to come to a close and, while there are still a couple of championships still to wrap up, it seems like a good time to look back on the Porsche 911 racers that have impressed you most this year.

While it has been a difficult year for the Porsche 911 RSRs in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the factory squad’s United SportsCar Championship challenge, there have still been a number of standout performances from the works drivers in 2016.

However, voting in our latest poll isn’t just reserved for the likes of Long Beach Grand Prix winners, Nick Tandy and Patrick Pilet. As one of the most raced cars in the world, there are a whole host of Porsche 911 drivers to choose from.

2016 - Long Beach Grand Prix

Matteo Cairoli and Sven Müller have both put in standout performances in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, while Dan Cammish has dominated the Carrera Cup GB for a second successive season, setting a new wins record in the process.

Or, what about Patrick Long for his sterling efforts in the Pirelli World Challenge? The American narrowly missed out on taking the 2016 title at the weekend after a season that was disrupted when his original team closed its doors.

And, if your favourite 2016 Porsche 911 racer isn’t on our list, you can add your suggestion into the mix too. So, what are you waiting for? Get voting now!

Voting will close this Thursday at 1pm BST, with the results unveiled in the next issue of Total 911, on sale 2 November.
