Is Wiedeking going or not?
Rumours about that Porsche boss Wendelin Wiedeking is getting the boot (with a handsome pay off) on Thursday. Porsche, however, refutes this, with the following press release. We’ll soon find out the truth.
The Chairman of the Group Works Council and Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Uwe Hück, and eight employee representatives from the Supervisory Board fiercely reject reports intended to mislead the public that claim an alleged dismissal of Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking as the Chairman of the Executive Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. “Dr. Wiedeking is and will remain Chairman of the Executive Board”, emphasizes Hück. The Chairman of the Group Works Council expressed his dismay at attempts to destroy a person that have been made in recent weeks. Hück made it clear without a doubt that “there will be no new Chairman of the Executive Board contrary to the votes of the employee representatives on the Supervisory Board.”
