Exclusive Porsche 911 day at Goodwood

911uk Silverstone

As the Porsche 911 officially passes its 50th birthday, 911uk.com (the UK’s foremost online 911 forum) will be running a charity day at Goodwood Motor Circuit in West Sussex.

The event, taking place on Saturday 5 October, will see Porsche 911s of all ages taking to the circuit as part of an exclusive 911-only trackday. The fast, flowing tarmac of the former World War Two airfield will provide ample chance for drivers to explore the outright speed of their Porsche 911s.

A parade lap has also been organised (in the ilk of the record-breaking Silverstone parade) to celebrate the iconic sportscar’s half-a-century. Away from the track, there will also be a ‘show and shine’ event, showcasing an eclectic collection of Zuffenhausen machinery.

The ‘show and shine’ event will be judged throughout the day, with the winners being announced towards the end of the day’s celebrations.

Although the track day has already sold out, places are still available in the paddock for both the parade lap, and the ‘show and shine’ display. Paddock entry is strictly limited though, so book your place now by donating £20 to the Chestnut Tree Hospice.

Porsche 911 specialists, Parr Motorsport (who ran Ben Barker in the 2012 Carrera Cup GB) will also be in attendance.

Goodwood’s hospitality will be available on the day, with gates opening at 10am. For more information, visit 911uk.com’s event page.
