Christopher Ward C700 Grande Rapide Chronograph
The Swiss-made Christopher Ward C700 Grande Rapide is a chronograph clearly inspired by motorsport, without compromising the classy aesthetic we’ve come to love from the UK watchmakers.
From the real carbon fibre face to the tyre-like rubber strap, this timepiece clearly takes its inspiration from the track, yet the overall appearance is still classic ‘chronograph’ with three sub-dials covering the standard hours, minutes and seconds measurements.
Made from hand polished stainless steel, the solid casing features a crystal window at the rear to expose the automatic movement. When on your wrist, you’re the only person that would know, making it a nice personal touch.
Undoubtedly the most lavish watch from our issue 121 timepiece test, the C700 is also available with leather and bracelet-style straps if you like your wrist wear to have a slightly smarter appeal.
