Watch Walter Röhrl hustle a 997 GT3 RS around the Nordschleife
As you may have guessed to day, we’ve started a week-long celebration of all things Rennsport. Porsche 911 RSs are bred for the track and, while some are horded away in the hands of collectors, a large number still see plenty of action out on circuits around the world.
To prove this, Porsche entered a near-standard 997 GT3 RS Gen2 in the Nürburgring 24 Hour race. Among the line up was the legendary Walter Röhrl – a man who needs no introduction.
This video of Röhrl may be a little old (as the quality shows) but, with over 100,000 views, it’s definitely worth your time, even if you’ve already seen it. If you watch one Porsche 911 video today, make sure it is this one.
