Video: Porsche Sound Nacht 2014
For one evening every year, the Porsche Museum is packed out with an expectant audience who enjoy a theatre show like no other. Here, the star actors are cars from Porsche’s illustrious past and present and the dialogue is the rich exhaust note of famous racers.
‘Sound Nacht’ is an annual event where a host of exotica is wheeled out of the Museum (or the secret warehouse) and revved up on stage to the delight of the thousands captivated in the audience.
This year’s ‘Porsche Sound Night’ saw the likes of Zuffenhausen’s early Sixties Formula One cars, a 917/30 Can-Am monster, and the latest 918 take to the stage. But, our favourite moment was Jürgen Barth savouring the biting tones of the 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR while the hosts covered their ears.
