Video: Porsche ready for 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship

After returning to the top class of sports car racing in 2014, it didn’t take long for Porsche to get back to winning ways, dominating last year’s FIA World Endurance Championship with six victories from the eight races.

This included a first win at the 24 Hours of Le Mans since 1998 when Nico Hülkenberg, Earl Bamber and former Total 911 columnist, Nick Tandy guided their Porsche 919 Hybrid to a famous triumph at La Sarthe.

So, having secured all three titles and Le Mans in 2015, how does Porsche plan to improve this year? By building an even better hybrid prototype. After all, they didn’t win every race last season.

And we don’t have long to find out whether Porsche has succeeded in their mission. This weekend, the 2016 FIA WEC season kicks off at Silverstone, for a six-hour race that Porsche haven’t won since 1985 when it was the Rothmans 962s dominating the world of sports car racing.

Will you be at Silverstone this weekend? Post your photos from the event to our Facebook or Twitter pages and your shot could appear in our next issue.
