Video: Porsche at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed

The 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed opened today and, once again, Porsche has a large presence at Lord March’s automotive extravaganza, with numerous road and racing legends taking to the hillclimb across the weekend.

In this official video, Porsche gives a quick preview of what you can expect should you be attending the now world-famous Festival of Speed, held along the Goodwood House driveway in West Sussex.

Safe to say, Festival goers will be greeted with plenty of Le Mans legends as Weissach celebrates its recent 17th victory at the famous French endurance race; that means 917s, the no. 19 Porsche 919 Hybrid and other exotica, much of which will come straight from the Porsche Museum.

Of course, the legends aren’t just of the automotive variety. Goodwood always sees a multitude of famous faces get reunited with their equally illustrious steeds. Derek Bell is a regular attendee, while Targa Florio winner, Vic Elford’s 80th birthday will no doubt be celebrated.

If motorsport icons aren’t your thing though, don’t worry. Porsche will once again bring its Nordschleife record-holding 918 Spyder as part of the Michelin Supercar paddock.

More importantly though, tackling the hill across the weekend alongside the 918 will be the new Porsche 991 GT3 RS, making its UK debut in spectacular fashion. You won’t want to miss it.
