Singer Vehicle Design’s latest engine is automotive art

If you hadn’t noticed, this week is Monterey Classic Car Week and the internet is awash with a wealth of automotive exotica. Our eyes, as always, have been on the best Porsche 911s at the various shows and, as always, Singer Vehicle Design has stolen the limelight.

This is their latest engine, unveiled at the Jet Center on Wednesday during the McCall’s Motorworks Revival event. Details are scarce at the moment but one thing we do know is it looks absolutely, undeniably gorgeous, especially the polished plenums.

At the moment, we know that it’s a 4.0-litre unit, and we know it’s been built by Ed Pink Racing Engines. Other than that, you’ll have to wait until we bring you full details in issue 118 of Total 911, due out on 10 September.

If you need your fix of Singer goodness before then though, check out our time with ‘Brooklyn’, one of Rob Dickinson’s latest beautifully reworked Porsche 911s. Order your copy online, or download straight to your digital device now.
