Ride onboard in Tuthill’s tarmac-eating Porsche 911 RGT rally car

In just under two weeks, Tuthill’s Porsche 997 R-GT rally car will return to action. However, it won’t be in the hands of regular pilot, François Delecour. Instead, the car will head to the Emerald Isle to compete in the Circuit of Ireland.

Prodrive’s Rothmans-liveried Porsche 911 SC RSs visited the event back in the mid-Eighties and now, some 30 years later, a top-flight Porsche 911 rally car will tackle the famous rally, hoping to make its own piece of history.

A few weeks ago, to prepare for the event, the Tuthill team took the 997 R-GT car over to Ireland for some closed road testing. With team boss, Richard Tuthill (an ace driver in his own right) at the wheel, the 911 was certainly flying over the tarmac.
