Magnus Walker sells Porsche 930 3.0 for $111,099

Magnus Walker is not one to do things by the book. However, we were still slightly surprised to see that the Urban Outlaw had chosen to sell one of his Porsche 930 3.0s via internet auctioneers, eBay.

The black, matching numbers 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo, one of Magnus’ previously five-strong Turbo collection, saw bidding culminate at $111,099 (£69,000) yesterday. Considering the rarity of original 930s that seems like something of a bargain in today’s ever inflating market.

Yes, the driver’s seat is torn, and the original steering wheel has been replaced with Magnus’ signature MOMO Prototipo but the new owner has just got their hands on a 3.0-litre 911 Turbo with a newly rebuilt engine and the added cachet of the Urban Outlaw’s ex-ownership.

With the Urban Outlaw’s incredible five-car 930 3.0 collection now shrinking to a quartet, does this mean Magnus is losing his case of ‘Turbo fever’? We hope not but, if it frees up some space for a new hot rod project we wholeheartedly approve.
