Jeff Zwart proves he’s king of the mountain at Pikes Peak 2015
Jeff Zwart is a name Porsche fans will know for one of two reasons: he is the man behind many of Zuffenhausen’s US marketing videos and he is the man who takes turbocharged 911s up the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb in Colorado at a fearsome rate.
Today, we’re celebrating him for the latter. Last weekend marked the 93rd running of the famous ‘Race to the Clouds’ and, after losing out on victory in 2014, Zwart was back with a bang this year, winning the Time Attack 1 class and finishing a remarkable fourth overall.
What’s more, his time was a whopping 15 seconds faster than last year. In this incredible onboard video, you can watch Zwart tame his turbocharged Porsche 997 GT3 Cup car as he takes on the fearsome 12.42-mile course, ascending 4,720 feet.
