Exclusive Porsche Cayman GT4 spy shots
This weekend, the internet was awash with rumours of a Porsche Cayman GT4. Until now, Porsche has vehemently denied such plans, citing a GT4 version of the Cayman would undoubtedly step on the toes of the range-topping 911.
However, these exclusive spy shots show that Porsche is well on its way to releasing a 981-Type Cayman GT4, a car that would sit above the recently released GTS at the top of the mid-engined sports car range.
It has the unmistakable 911 GT3-style exit vent at the front of the bonnet, along with a large, race-inspired rear wing, and wider-than-standard front and rear tyres.
With the Cayman GTS currently starting at £55,397, the more expensive GT4 will still likely come to market a substantially under the £73,509 it currently costs to buy the entry-level 991 Carrera.
